S7 vs. S12: A Visual Comparison

S7 - with or without end caps
One of the great advantages of our S7 profile is that you can choose whether you want to design your Slide-down signs with or without end caps. For a modern and minimalist design, you can build your sign without end caps. But if you want an extra detail on the sign or to hide the cut surface, end caps can be an option.

If you choose to use end pieces, the upper slat must be cut slightly shorter to fit into the groove next to the end pieces, as both the slats and the end pieces use the same groove. However, end pieces are not necessary, and we personally prefer to build our Slide-down signs without end caps. But if you choose end caps, remember to make the small adjustment – cut the top slat shorter – for a perfect fit.
Step-by-step guide: How to replace the slats and inserts on your S7 Slide-Down sign
Replacing the inserts and panels on a Slide-Down sign is very easy and convenient. Check out this video and our visual step-by-step guide below:
1. Remove end caps (if present)
If your sign has end caps, start by removing them from the top of the side profiles so you can access the slats. If your sign does not use end caps, skip this step.
2. Lift the blinds
Slide the slats upward and out of the sign's side profiles, one by one, until you reach the slat or insert that needs to be replaced.
3. Replace individual slats or inserts
If you are changing a plug-in, simply slide out the old one and insert the new plug-in into the groove on the existing slat. If it is a slat you are changing, remove the old slat and slide in the new one.
4. Replace the louvers
Reinstall the slats by sliding them down into the grooves of the side profiles, starting from the bottom and working your way up. If your sign uses end caps, finish by reinstalling them.
